A numeric format can have one, two, or three character strings, depending on how you want the data displayed. Each string is separated by a semicolon.
• In a one-string format, the string determines the display of all numbers (positive, negative, and zero).
• In a two-string format, the first string determines the display of positive numbers and zero; the second string determines the display of negative numbers. The strings can be similar or completely different, depending on how you want the data displayed.
• In a three-string format, the first string determines the display of positive numbers; the second string is for negative numbers; the third string is for zero. The strings can be similar or completely different, depending on how you want the data displayed.
